Save the Children International (SCI) is the world’s leading independent organization for children, delivering programs in over 120 countries to ensure all children survive, learn, and are protected. SCI has been working in Nigeria since 2001 as a strong, recognized, and respected voice for children’s rights. Our programs currently support health and nutrition, education, child protection, food security, livelihoods, social protection, child rights governance, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in both developmental and humanitarian contexts. SCI has 11 field offices but operational in about 18 states in Nigeria. Against this background, SCI Nigeria seeks to pre-qualify contrsuction contractors/companies which will carry out civil engineering and Water resources/hydraulic engineering construction work in SCI's areas of operation and beyond in Nigeria.
Save the Children has a range of Construction and Shelter related activity across its programming activity. This includes large- and small-scale build projects and small scale rehabilitation projects to include drilling of Solar powered boreholes, rehabilitation works and upgrade of water system. This activity is delivered through a number of methods including direct implementation by Save the Children, working with local partners and NGO’s and through the use of third-party contractors / suppliers.
The type of projects Save the Children are involved in vary significantly depending on the nature of the program or response – but can include schools, hospitals / health care facilities, communities, Shelter, living accommodation, child friendly spaces, sanitation facilities / latrines, community centres, etc.
The purpose of this invitation to tender is to pre-qualify companies to carry out civil engineering and Water resources/hydraulic engineering construction work in SCI's areas of operation and beyond in Nigeria.
