The 2015 Modern Slavery Act requires large UK organisations to publish annual statements to report on the steps they are taking to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in their operations and in the supply chains that provide their goods and services in the respective financial year.
Each year, the Save the Children International Board Statement sets out the progress which has been made since previous year’s Statement. In the course of preparing the statement, Save the Children International have considered practical actions which we have taken and are taking to achieve the commitments detailed by the Board last year, and to move closer to preventing, detecting and responding to issues of modern slavery in our organisation and supply chains. In addition to acting on the specific commitments, additional work has been undertaken to combat this issue across the organisation.
